Cindy Svec2024-07-14Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. These folks are GREAT! We have had the best experience - we’ve purchased a collection of native shrubs, perennials and an olive tree. They are smart, honest, affordable and extremely helpful to plan your landscape. They also grow and roast amazing coffee. Highly recommend! Eric Johnson2021-10-21Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I rarely write reviews but I am so thrilled with the prices and quality of the 6 trees that I bought! The owners are very kind, knowledgeable and helpful. Jeff nally2021-07-11Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The owners are awesome people. Very friendly and knowledgeable about olive trees and other types of plants. They even sell coffee trees, which we will be buying on our next trip to see them. Michele Ertle2020-07-02Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great selection of olive trees at really affordable prices. The owner was very helpful with information and even sent pictures of trees in our price range since we were out of state and looking for a gift for my mother in Florida. I highly recommend! Sometime over the last year or two I got the bug to get an olive tree for my small residential lot in east central Florida. Olive trees are not native to Florida of course but to the Mediterranean but that region has in common with Florida poor droughty soil and potentially salty coastal air. What better practical yet historically and symbolically rich small to medium size fruiting tree could you ask for than an olive tree? Of course olive trees grow well elsewhere too. Olive trees are available from big box stores but they have no expertise in cultivating them and you may not even know what cultivar you're buying, so I shopped around online for a while looking for a tree. Many suppliers had olive trees on offer as a sideline or were oriented to commercial operations. When I found the Olive Tree Growers website it was different. It was smart and personal. It was clear olive trees were the focus of their operation and not just a sideline. It was also clear that they had olive growing expertise and experience. You could be sure what variety of olive tree you were getting and what its cultivation requirements were. There was also the offer of ongoing support. I called and talked to owner and grower Cary Cloud and and arranged to drive over to Dunnellen, FL, to pick up a small tree, a long morning's round trip for me. (They deliver and plant anywhere though.) Mr Cloud was most interesting and informative. He was happy to talk about olive tree cultivation at length, about different varieties, and provide lots of growing information. It wasn't just a transaction. Mr Cloud was as enthusiastic as I was about the subject. And I can assure you the offer of ongoing support is genuine. I have availed myself of it repeatedly since buying my tree. I email pictures of issues with my tree and find ready expert advice. Olive Tree Growers is a small family operation but has non-commercial clients large and small all over the eastern half of the United States. It occurs to me I'm being so praiseworthy here you might think I'm being paid to write this but I'm just a guy who likes olive trees and admires and appreciates a real-deal agricultural craftsman. If you love the idea of having your own olive tree and being engaged in its cultivation this is the place to go,
